Meet Barnaby, the roundest, fluffiest owl in the entire Whispering Woods. Barnaby loves two things: taking long naps during the day and watching the stars twinkle at night. Tonight, he has found the perfect sturdy branch to sit on, high up in an ancient oak tree. From here, he can see the whole forest sleep.

Barnaby is very cozy, but he thinks his forest looks a little plain today. He is waiting for a friendly artist (that's you!) to arrive with their magical colors. He hopes you will make the leaves bright green and maybe even add some purple polka dots to his favorite branch!

Once the coloring is finished, Barnaby will finally be ready for his nightly flight. He will hoot a happy 'thank you' to you as he flies past your window. Are you ready to help Barnaby sparkle?

• Main Character: For our friend Barnaby, try using a warm brown for his fluffy feathers. Give him big, bright yellow eyes so he can see in the dark!

• Background Elements: The strong oak branch would look great in dark brown. For the leaves, use your favorite shades of green!

• Sky & Ground: Since it's nearly nighttime, maybe you could color the sky a deep, beautiful blue or purple, or keep it bright and sunny! The rolling hills can be grassy green.

• Fun Art Challenge: Can you draw three tiny twinkling stars in the sky right above Barnaby's head?
