It was the spookiest, silkiest, most exciting night of the year! Little Glimmer the Ghost floated softly through the misty graveyard, the moonlight catching his smooth, white form. In his small, sheet-like hand, he held a big, cheerful paper bag. The bag had a wide-smiling pumpkin face printed on the side, and it was getting heavier and heavier. Inside, Glimmer had already collected tons of delicious treats from the local houses. He was so happy, his big smile almost glowed brighter than the moon itself!

Glimmer glided over the soft, rolling hills of the cemetery, waving a friendly hello to the crooked, friendly-looking old tree. "Happy Halloween, Mr. Tree!" he chirped. As he passed, his small ghostly friends peeked out from behind the bumpy pumpkins resting on the ground, sharing Glimmer’s joy for the night. The crescent moon in the starry sky above watched over them all, winking happily down at the little ghost and his hard-earned goodies. It was the perfect night for treats, no tricks needed!

Now, Glimmer just needs one last thing to make his Halloween perfect: some color to bring his midnight adventure to life. Can you help him paint his ghostly world with your brightest, spookiest crayons?

  • Main Character: The ghost is super cute and spectral! Give him a classic bright white coat with your crayon, but maybe use a light silver or very faint icy blue on his lines to give him that ghostly glow! Or, make him stand out with a spooky green or deep purple outline instead!

  • Background Elements: The pumpkins on the ground should be bright, happy oranges for their main bodies and maybe a dark green for their stems. Color the old tree with a friendly brown and its branches black or dark grey. For the tombstones, choose a smooth stone-grey or soft, muted purple.

  • Sky & Ground: Make the night sky a beautiful dark blue or black to help the ghost and stars pop out! For the crescent moon and stars, use brilliant yellows or golds. The rolling ground can be dark greens or browns.

  • Fun Art Challenge: Draw some extra tiny stars in the blank spaces of the sky, or maybe even a small black bat flying past the moon! See if you can fill the whole graveyard night with colors!
